Euthanasia

Euthanasia is the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in an irreversible coma. The practice is illegal in most countries. I think this practice should not be used because I believe that a person should live their life out all the way and one drug should not take that away from someone. This practice should be illegal because most of the time its not even the person who is suffering is making the decision. I believe that it is not right to use this practice because it is just like you are killing that person or animal even if they are not doing well and death is near. One example in my life was that i had a 17 year old dog and neighbors of mine said it needed to be put down but u know that having my dog put down would be like me killing it and I just could not live with myself knowing that I took its life away and it never even had a chance to keep me from doing it.That is why i believe that euthanasia should be banned and anyone that continues to practice it should be charged and arrested for murder.

why do dreams sometimes fail?

Dreams sometimes fail because they are sometimes  impossible to reach. For instance I always wanted to be as tall as shaq, but know that i know my body , i know i will never be as tall as him. There are also times when your dreams are not reachable because of financial situations. This shown in the book when George and Lennie want to buy a ranch and if it wasn't for Candy they wouldn't have been able to reach their goal because they only have 10 dollars. This is also true when my best friend wanted a new car for his birthday and he didn't get one because they are too expensive for his parents to buy. Dreams also fail because of freak accidents. For example my parents were supposed to go to Las Vegas until 9/11 occurred and their trip got cancelled so there dream failed. Another way that a dream can fail is when a person a person is not determined to make it happen. For instance my Aunt had a dream that she would be thin again but she did not work at so she did not lose the weight that she wanted to. So even if you have a dream you should set it in the conditions that will make it possible for you to achieve.

how important is it for human beings to have a place where they belong where there are people who know and love them.

I believe it is very important for people to have a place where they belong and have people who love them there. I think this because you feel like even when things get rough you know that there is always a place that you can come back to and have a sense of family makes the rough times better.It is also important because people that have a sense of a family have a sense of comfort and are willing to take more risks because they know they have someone to fall back on.

what makes a friend

A friend to me is someone that you can trust. Also a friend is a person that shares common interests, shows responsibility, and has your back when things get bad.Also a friend is someone that will tell you the truth even if its not always the right thing to say and is not worried what you wear but sees the person inside.A good friend is also a person that respects you and does not show hatred to you or anyone close to you.It is important to have friends because you get to Cherish good times with a friend. It is also good to have friends because they are there when you need to talk to them about things you cannot talk to your family about.It is also good to have friends because it because it helps with your people skills and helps you learn how to deal with with problems in your relation between you and your friend.Having friends also give you advice on decisions you make and can lead you from the bad decisions. Having friends help you also with relationships for when you get older and get married. Finally you need friends to be happy and help fulfill a happy and joyful life.

I believe that states that have a death penalty have less murders. I believe this true because if  people know they are going to die, they will be less likely to kill. Statistics also show that every year starting in 1997 has went down in executions. This plainly shows that there are fewer murders each year.

Romeo and Juliet discussion ?'s

Yes it was wise for the Friar to give Juliet the potion because he knew Juliet didn't want to marry Paris. She also said that she would rather kill  herself than marry Paris, so even if she died from the potion it would have been better than marrying Paris.

Juliet kills herself when she could be free because she loved Romeo and if she didn't have him her life wasn't worth anything. Also if she was free where would she go because she does not have any money or anyone to go to.

I believe Lord Capulet was the one who was responsible for all of this. I believe this because he was the one that forces Juliet to marry Paris. If she didn't have to marry Paris she wouldn't have to fake her death.

Romeo and Juliet Act 1

I thought that act 1 was not true to life. I think this because a person can't say that they love one person one day and another person the next. I don't think that Romeo really loves Juliet. I think this because He was in love with Rosaline and said that she was his true love and then that night he goes to one party and falls in love with Juliet. I think that putting Rosaline in the story just complicates things more. I think that this play wouldn't have been such a hit if Shakespeare had written it in modern language. I also think that we should take more about what each section is trying t say better because i think it will be easier for us to understand and get a better hold of it. I have read this book before and for some reason i don't feel like i am getting it more now than i did when i had to read it the first time. I think it is because i do not care for the book and I just get it enough to do well on the test. Other than that I feel it is a little easier to understand the wording of the book because it is my second time through.
